Orientation Information (10th-12th Grade)
Morgan Park High School’s Orientation for the 2024-2025 school year for returning 10th-12th grade students:
Thursday, August 22, 2024
Students must attend orientation PRIOR to the first day of school. Families are welcome and encouraged to attend. Orientation will include the following:
- Synopsis of Student Handbook
- Attendance
- Student Code of Conduct Review
- CPS Graduation Requirements & Expectations
- Receive Locker Assignment, Lock & Class Schedule
- Meet Your 2024-2025 Teachers
- Meet Your 2024-2025 Counselor
- Pay School Fees
- Complete/submit any FIIF, Consent Forms, & Health Forms
- Receive Information About the 2024-2025 School Year
- Ask Questions to Morgan Park High School Staff
Orientation Date & Times

Students will begin Orientation in Blackwelder Hall (Auditorium) where they will receive an overview of the student handbook & expectations.
- Welcome & Overview: Administrative Team
- Introductions: Grade Level Lead will MC
- Behavior Expectations: Ms. Delaney, RJC, & Deans
- Attendance Expectations: Ms. Rodgers
- Academic/Postsecondary Expectations: Academic Counselors
- Senior Activities: Grooms & Delaney
After the presentation in Blackwelder Hall, parents will be afforded time for Q&A. Students will report to the lunchroom where they will receive bagged items by last name (A-G, H-P, Q-Z). Fundraising items will be available for purchase on the Portico. Students without ID Photos will have an opportunity to take their ID photo during this time.
