Five Mustangs named 2026-2027 Illinois State Scholars

Five Mustang seniors were named 2026-2027 Illinois State Scholars by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission. They are among the top 10 percent of students in the state of Illinois. Please congratulate Sarabi Cunningham, Nandi Guy, Natalie Jackson, Alexander Marchan, and Leiana McLendon on this wonderful and well-deserved distinction.

Mustangs Visit Shakespeare Theatre, Meet Legendary Actor

Teachers Mr. Le, Mr. Gronholm, administrator AP Askew, and 22 Morgan Park High School students attended the Chicago Shakespeare Theater recently for a night with legendary actor Sir Ian McKellan. McKellan performed scenes from some of his most iconic roles including Gandalf, Hamlet, and BOTH Romeo and Juliet. McKellan also welcomed students Nandi Guy and Kayla Friday on stage to perform a scene with him, during which they each gave a performance and had an experience of a lifetime.
