MUSTANGS OUTLAST BROOKS IN HITTERS DUEL AT NIGHT

It seemed more like a score in a football game!

The Morgan Park Mustangs went on the road for a rare night game at Brooks College Prep's field. After a brief game delay watching Chicago State finish off their opponent, Morgan Park and Brooks started the fireworks early. The Mustangs were losing 10-3 after the 4th inning and players spirits were down. Then in the top of the 6th inning, Morgan Park exploded for 10 runs, all on a hitting attack. The game was finally decided around 11 p.m. with the victorious Mustangs winning 21-14 in the Ryne Sandberg conference game." It was a heck of a game...our players didn't quit."- head coach Nelson.

Morgan Park's Chris Roger's went 5-6 with a double, 4 singles and 2 rbis. Senior Donald Newsom went 3-5 with a double, triple. single and 2 rbis. Senior Khyle Singleton was 2-5 with 2 singles, 2 runs and 3 rbis.

Morgan Park is 9-9 overall and 3-2 in conference.
